Who am I?

I’m Tom Prescott, Associate Partner and Head of Transfer Pricing at Claritas. Prior to joining Claritas, I worked at a big four firm for ten years, starting the first five years of my career with a mid-tier firm in Southeast Asia.

When I’m at work

I love problem solving, and that is a large part of why I enjoy transfer pricing (not to mention it suits my initials). At Claritas we help clients of all sizes with all of their transfer pricing needs, whether that’s putting in new policies as the business develops, helping with annual compliance and documentation, or supporting through tax authority enquiries.

When I’m not at work

My wife would tell you I love problem creating! The main problem is that I have a lot of hobbies, and not enough time to do any of them to the degree I would like to. I started sailing in my 30s and whilst still an absolute beginner, I would love to undertake a trans-Atlantic crossing in a small yacht. I enjoy travelling a lot and have been to some destinations that are fairly off-the-beaten track, including Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Tibet, and most countries in South America. I also like to read a lot and am a fan of TV shows and films, particularly comedies like the League of Gentlemen and Alan Partridge.
