Equity Reward and Valuations Assistant Manager/Manager/Senior Manager

The Role:

Our Equity Reward and Valuations team led by Associate Partners, Alex Hall and Al Milne, work across a broad range of clients in all sectors on various projects.

To meet the continued growth of the firm and our growing service line, we are looking for an Assistant Manager, Manager or Senior Manager to join us in one of our offices in Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow or Bristol.

Experience will vary depending on the grade you apply for, but regardless of the grade you will be supported by Alex and Al – who each have almost 20 years of experience – and the wider Claritas team.

Essential background and experience includes:

  • Minimum of three years experience (Assistant Manager), four years (Manager), or six years (Senior Manager) in a tax role with exposure to equity reward, share schemes or valuations in either practice in industry or a mixture of both.
  • CTA and/or ACA qualified (preferred but not essential).
  • Experience of dealing directly with clients and intermediaries.
  • Good working knowledge and experience of key areas of tax involved and Equity and Reward and Valuations, including:
  • Employment-related securities and their interaction with employee incentives.
  • Tax-advantaged and non-tax-advantaged share schemes (benefits, qualifying conditions, etc).
  • An understanding of the fundamental principles and methodologies of tax valuations.

Due Diligence – work with the wider tax due diligence teams by providing support on employment-related securities and share scheme matters. Attend calls, review responses/documents, identify tax risks and quantify them where necessary and prepare reports.
Annual compliance requirements for employment-related securities and tax-advantaged share schemes.
Strong project management skills.
Interest in development of junior staff members including new graduates.
