Claritas are delighted to have advised BGF on their investment in Skewb Limited, a Midlands-based consultancy to the energy and water sector. The investment will enable Skewb’s management team to accelerate growth plans and expand its service and product offering, helping them to advise water and energy companies on digital transformation and increasing operational efficiencies. Led by Iain Wright and Adam Keates, Claritas advised on tax structuring, tax due diligence and share valuations in relation to the investment
Kyle Long, Investor at BGF, commented: “Claritas has been an invaluable partner in supporting BGF to complete this investment in Skewb, with Iain and Adam coordinating teams to provide tax structuring, valuation, and due diligence services. We have appreciated the comprehensive and reliable support throughout the deal and look forward to working closely together again in the future.”
Adam Keates, Associate Partner at Claritas, added: “It was a pleasure to work with BGF’s investment team and their legal advisers on this transaction. This was a real team effort with invaluable contributions from our Equity Reward and Valuations teams (Al Milne and Alex Hall) and our Due Diligence team across corporation tax, employment taxes, and VAT (Fiona Holloway, Jack Moore, Minesh Trivedi, and Richard Smith). These contributions are a testament to the talent and expertise at Claritas across all service lines. We look forward to working with BGF again on other deals, and we wish them and Skewb’s management team every success with their exciting growth plans.”
