Our Employment Tax team led by Partner, Minesh Trivedi, work across a broad range of clients in all sectors and on various projects.
Due to the continued growth of the firm and our Employment Tax service line, we are looking for an Assistant Manager, Manager or Senior Manager to join any of our offices across Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Manchester or Nottingham. We appreciate experience will vary depending on the grade you apply for, but regardless of this you will be supported by the Partner who has over 30 years of Employment Tax experience and the wider Claritas team. However, we would be looking for someone with the following background and experience:
PAYE/NIC Health checks – undertake employment tax compliance checks for client and produce reports.
HMRC correspondence – support clients with ongoing HMRC Employer Compliance reviews/enquiries, assist clients with making disclosures to HMRC and mitigation of penalties.
Employment status and off-payroll working (“IR35”) – reviews and client queries.
Annual Compliance – provide technical support and advice to clients (e.g., P11D and PSA reporting, etc).
Benefits (e.g., company cars/vans, private fuel, etc) and expenses – provide advice to clients on tax implications and any relevant exemptions.
Due Diligence – work with the wider tax due diligence teams by providing support on Employment Tax (e.g., attend calls, review responses/documents, identify tax risks and quantify them where necessary and prepare reports).
Termination payments.
Salary sacrifice arrangements including OpRA.
Construction Industry Scheme – reviews and client queries.
