While not the biggest headline grabbing announcement from today, we think the casually mentioned changes to R&D were actually quite Riveting and Diverting. While the intention to reduce frivolous claims and crackdown on less-than-savoury claims factories was a good one, it seems that genuine businesses undertaking proper R&D could be getting caught in the firing line, particularly at the SME end of things.
